Established in 1998 (directive of 17 March 1998), the National Leishmania Reference Centre (CNRL) was renewed by the drective of 26 April 2002. Since 1998 the centre has undertaken expert assignments on surveillance, notification and consultancy that are devolved to the National Reference Centres.
